For students who have an interest in working with the human figure as an art form, this class will work in watercolor to explore individual interpretations of the human figure. Basic figure instruction and introductory watercolor techniques are covered. Work with portraits, narrative ideas, and more. The use of photo refrences is suggested to help build a visual vocabulary of anatomical gesture, proportion, flesh tone, warm/cool contrast, and composition. Composite compositions are encouraged.
