LUNCH INCLUDED! The registration fee includes lunch each day (M-F) at the Rice cafeteria. A discount will not be provided for students who choose to bring their own lunch. * A $3.00 administrative processing fee will be applied to your registration upon checkout. The Rice University Office of Student Engagement offers an enriching week-long summer program focused on computer engineering design. Running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day, the program caters to middle school students interested in exploring the field of computer engineering through hands-on projects and collaborative learning. The program is staffed by experienced instructors who provide guidance, support, and expertise throughout the week. Students will hear from guest speakers and in engage in activities designed to develop their skills in computer engineering. Key projects involve programming Microbits and will allow students to learn the basics of coding and hardware interaction. Another exciting project using Tinkercad will allow students to design 3D printed keychains, providing practical experience in digital design and additive manufacturing.
