About This Activity
PFMFA teachers Marisol Graham, Pam Mayo, and Billie Scalisi, will lead young artists in simple bookmaking projects that will engage kids in art and literacy. Accordion-fold, pop-up, and tunnel books among others will be folded, cut, and glued. After the books are created, students will learn techniques for applying watercolor, cut paper shapes, markers, colored pencils, etc. on their book covers and illustrations. Along with illustrating their books, students will be given opportunities to work on their literacy skills and compose stories to complete their books. Thank you to Wendy M.L.
