About This Activity
Back by popular demand, let’s get down to tech-business! This class is fantastic for students who feel more comfortable behind the scenes and want to expand their skills in all areas of technical theatre, including scenic design, painting, prop fabrication, and more! This will include learning what it takes to be part of the backstage run crew, all in support of our Advanced Musical Theatre production, Matilda Jr. Students' names will be featured in the program, and they will have the option to work on the run crew during the actual show in areas such as lighting, sound, costumes, and backstage techies. Students who participate in the full production are required to attend the two Saturday tech rehearsals (October 31 & November 7) leading up to the final performance on November 14th. Participation backstage is not required to take the class, but is highly recommended!
