The ALA's Waypoint Mini Summer Camp Series is an accessible, three-week summer program Each week is built around a distinct theme, driving a mix of hands-on learning, S.T.E.A.M. activities, outdoor exploration, and social-emotional growth. Core to the experience is a friendly, team-based competition that encourages camaraderie and participation, complemented by weekly dress-up days and time for free exploration. Get ready for a wild week where the laboratory meets the great outdoors! Our campers will become "Nature Scientists," conducting messy experiments, creating masterpieces out of natural elements, and exploring the wonders of the world around them. It’s a week of discovery, dirt, and delightful creativity. Week 2: Mon. July 6 -Thurs. July 9 - Theme: Around The World in 4 Days Grab your passports for a sensory journey across the globe! This week, we aren't just looking at a map—we’re experiencing culture through taste, language, art, and play. Campers will learn greetings in new languages, explore the unique flavors of different continents, and move their bodies to the rhythm of global music. We’ll dive into traditional games from around the world, discovering how children play across the seas while celebrating the diverse beauty of our global community. Week 3: Mon . July 13 - Thurs. July 16 -Theme: Under the Big Top Step right up to the most "spectacular" week of summer! Campers will dive into the world of the circus, exploring the physics of balance, and the magic of performance. From designing their own carnival games to rehearsing their very own "acts," campers will build confidence through creative expression and the performing arts.
