About This Activity
Description
Join Eagle Creek Ornithology Center bird expert Aidan Rominger and naturalist Frank Brown on Wednesday, October 1st, from 10:30am-12:30pm on a birding hike to the north end in search of shorebird species within the park! We will target a variety of shorebirds, warblers, thrushes, and more! This is a great opportunity for beginner birders to get hands on identification experience in the field with a skilled naturalist and experienced birder. The majority of the program will be hiking so dress accordingly for the weather. Feel free to pack a lunch as we will end the day inside the Ornithology Center classroom eating lunch together. Drop off is encouraged, guardians and siblings can hang out in the Ornithology Center during the hike. Binoculars will be provided to those that need them. For ages 10-15. $10/child, park admission included.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress warm for being outside!
