Arts for Learning is partnering with Frederick Douglass Park to introduce a new youth jazz and hip-hop dance program.Get ready to move, groove, and build confidence on the dance floor! This exciting youth jazz and hip-hop class is designed for dancers ages 9-17 who want to learn high-energy choreography while developing technique, rhythm, and stage presence. This program will operate each Thursday from April 30, 2026, through August 6, 2026, with classes held from 430p-6p. Throughout the session, participants will learn a variety of jazz and hip-hop routines, focusing on coordination, musicality, and performance skills. Instruction will be led by Ms. Krystal Breakley, a professional dancer with multiple years of experience, who brings passion, creativity, and real-world industry knowledge to every class. Dancers will have the opportunity to showcase what they've learned by performing at the 2026 Hip Hop Festival: Hip Hop Anthology, making this a fun and rewarding experience for all skill levels. Consistent attendance is strongly encouraged to ensure each participant can fully learn and confidently perform the routines.Come ready to dance, express yourself, and be part of an unforgettable performance experience!
