Arts for Learning is partnering with Frederick Douglass Park to introduce a new youth ballet and jazz dance class.Get ready to move, groove, and build confidence on the dance floor! This exciting youth ballet and jazz class is designed for dancers ages 9-17 who want to learn high-energy choreography while developing technique, rhythm, and stage presence. This class is a fun and rewarding experience for all skill levels.Class will operate each Wednesday from September 30, 2026, through December 9, 2026, with classes held from 530p-7p. Class will not meet on Wednesday November 11 or Wednesday November 25th. Throughout the class, participants will learn a variety of ballet and jazz routines, focusing on coordination, musicality, and performance skills. Instruction will be led by Ms. Krystal Breakley, a professional dancer with multiple years of experience, who brings passion, creativity, and real-world industry knowledge to every class. Dancers will have the opportunity to showcase what they've learned by performing in a Winter showcase event with other participants from Washington Park Family Center on Thursday December 10th.Consistent attendance is strongly encouraged to ensure each participant can fully learn and confidently perform the routines.Come ready to dance, express yourself, and be part of an unforgettable performance experience! Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing to each class. Transportation is not provided.
