Cultivating Minds Garden Series 2024
Join us in the Children's Garden to learn about various gardening and nature topics you've always wanted to know more about. Learn how to grow new plants; make healthier gardens; learn how to support local wildlife; learn new hobbies; make healthy lifestyle choices and such much more! This is a drop-in demonstration program. Feel free to come any time between 11 am and 12 pm and stay for as long as you’d like (demonstration slated to last 10-15 at a time) and explore the Children’s Garden afterwards. Each program will have a small take home item. The program is free, but donations are appreciated (at the front desk).
In conjunction with Earth Day Indiana, Conservatory naturalist staff are doing a program on reusing recyclables to make useful household products or art. When we think of "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" we often think of recycle first, rather than last as it's meant to be thought of in this phrase. Our first goal should be to see how we can reduce waste in the first place and then think of ways to reuse the waste we do inevitably create. Together we will be making a small recycled art project or item to take home and looking at ways we can reuse our recyclables!
Drop-in program. No registration needed.
