About This Activity
Coordinator: Jackie Smith, Orchard Kids Connect Teacher Do you LOVE chocolate? If YES, then this camp is for you. We will start our exploration of chocolate by traveling back in time to the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations where the first chocolate drink, xocolatl, was made. We will follow its path from Central America to Spain, the American Colonies, and finally to modern day Hershey, Pennsylvania. this will be a hands-on exploration of chocolate- we will be hunting, feeling, smelling, tasting, drinking, baking, playing and creating with chocolate in all its wondrous forms.
