Instructors: Orchard 1st Grade Teacher Alli Kordys and Orchard Kindergarten Teacher Taleesha Martin Remember the fun of building forts as a kid? Now imagine turning that game into an awesome science adventure! In this camp, your child will get to build their very own forts while learning cool STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills. Using special rods and connectors in all shapes and sizes, campers will create forts and learn about 3D shapes like cubes, pyramids, and prisms. They'll discover how the poles are the "edges," the connectors are the "corners," and how they can build bigger and cooler structures! Once they've mastered their indoor fort-building skills, campers will head outside to the Orchard woods, where they’ll find natural materials to create the ultimate outdoor fort. Don’t forget to bring a blanket from home to help build your indoor fort!
