In this camp, students will discover that geometry is the secret language of design. Using tools like compasses, protractors, and straightedges alongside mixed-media collage materials, participants will explore the fascinating visual world of mathematical art. Students will create art inspired by the geometry of nature and the intricate patterns found in Islamic art, Celtic knots, and Buddhist mandalas. Beyond drawing, the camp emphasizes collage and construction, allowing students to cut, layer, and assemble paper to visualize abstract concepts like symmetry, rotation, and reflection in vibrant, tactile ways. Whether your child loves to draw or loves to build, they will finish the week with a stunning portfolio of geometric masterpieces that prove math is truly beautiful. Camp tuition includes a materials fee.
