About This Activity
Instructor: Sixth Grade Math Teacher Aiyasami Salem Sreenivasan This camp is designed to help Orchard and non-Orchard students confidently begin their summer math packet while concepts from the school year are still fresh. We will begin by reviewing key topics and reteaching challenging concepts to ensure a solid understanding of the material. Students will work through sections of their packet with guided support, learning strategies for problem-solving, and organization. We will also reinforce number work, practice fluency through math games and collaborative problem-solving challenges, and encourage students to use multiple approaches and explain their thinking. By the end of the week, students will have completed a significant portion of their packet and gained confidence in tackling the rest independently. This camp emphasizes mastery, independence, and reducing summer stress for both students and parents.
