Instructor: Orchard Kids Connect Coordinator Jackie Smith This leadership camp is for responsible, enthusiastic, 10–14-year-old Orchard students (4th grade – 8th grade), who would like to work alongside Owlet Camp facilitator, Jackie Smith and her team of counselors as they run her weekly Owlet Preschool Camps. This Owlet’s Camp Compadres Program will offer a real leadership experience to those current Orchard students aged 10 –14 years, that enjoy working with preschool aged children (3-6 years in age). They will work closely with Jackie and her camp counselors helping to lead themed camp activities, games, arts and crafts, cooking activities, and more. Compadres will be expected to assist in the supervision of Owlet campers in their group during camp hours, snack times, outdoor activities and may be asked to assist with camp preparation, specific planned camp activities and or clean-up. They will never be left alone without adult supervision with any campers, at any time. Through participation in this program, we hope each Owlet Camp Compadre Leader will have fun while they build and develop leadership skills, confidence, teamwork, and empathy as they assist Jackie and her team with our youngest campers throughout the camp afternoon. * Must be a current Orchard student in good standing, willing to follow Orchard’s Code of Conduct *Hours: All Owlet Camp Compadres will be expected to work from 12:45 to 4:15 pm the entire week they sign up for. Note: This is a slightly extended afternoon camp time. Mandatory attendance at our Pre-Camp Orientation/Training in late May. Week of June 23: Reptiles – Past & Present
