Description
Soar through a week of fun adventures!
We will learn all about birds while doing activities such as hiking, canoeing, archery, fishing, shelter building, fire crafting, and the treetop GoApe! high ropes obstacle course.
This adventure camp is at the Ornithology Center.
Week highlights (subject to change):
Monday: Hike around the Bird Sanctuary using binoculars and meet the raptors who live at the Ornithology Center!
Tuesday: Get out on the water in a canoe to go birding on Eagle Creek Reservoir, then meet live birds of prey with Mark Booth's Take Flight! Wildlife Education.
Wednesday: Try your best at the archery range and then get ready to learn fire crafting skills. In the afternoon we'll meet a Peregrine Falcon!
Thursday: Explore Lilly Lake and go on a fishing adventure. We'll eat lunch there and play field games.
Friday: Soar through the trees in the Go Ape! Tree top obstacle course. We'll end the day with campfire & s'mores.
Day Camp Refunds
· A full refund will be provided for camps cancelled by Indy Parks.
· A $15 service charge per child per week will be deducted from all refunds and transfers. The $15 is not refundable or transferable and applies to all Indy Parks camps.
· For campers withdrawing from camps at Garfield Park Arts Center, Southeastway, Eagle Creek, Riverside Bike Camp or Holliday, if the camper is withdrawn less than two weeks prior to first day of camp, only 50% of your costs will be refunded.
· Camp withdrawals must be requested no later than the Thursday the week before the camp begins for any refund.
· A refund less the $15 service charge will be issued for medical reasons. A written note is required from a physician. For COVID-19 related illnesses, at-home COVID-19 tests are acceptable.
· A refund may be requested at the park where the program will be held or by contacting Customer Service, 317-327-PARK.
· All check refunds could possibly take six to eight weeks for processing.
· If a camper applies for scholarship but is not granted funds, deposit may be refunded.
