Description
The Zone offers state of the art fun & entertainment after school and is FREE to all Indianola Middle School Students! The program meets Mondays and Thursdays from 3:20 - 5:00 pm, Sept 11th through April 18th. After checking in and enjoying a snack, students can choose from activities like video games, fun & fitness, weekly challenges and homework help. Special activities such as relays, theme days, craft projects and contests are offered, too. The Zone is a drop-in program and students will check in with a supervisor when they arrive. Students leaving before 5:00pm will be asked to check out. Parents do not need to be present. The Zone will be closed on school holidays, early dismissal days, teacher work days, and when school closes for inclement weather. The Zone is offered by Indianola Parks & Recreation in partnership with Indianola Middle School. In order to keep The Zone a fun and safe place, students need to follow all rules as posted or as communicated by The Zone staff. For a complete list of Zone rules, please visit our website. On occasion our staff may photograph participants at Parks & Recreation activities, including The Zone. These photographs are for department use and may be duplicated in city publications, flyers and on our website (students will not be identified by name). If you have concerns about your child being photographed, please let us know.
