This class is an introduction to dance, with the primary goal of fostering a love of movement. The creative component is a large part of each session, and several fun or special activities are included in every class.
Attire: While the studio recommends tights and a leotard, this is not a requirement. Athletic clothing is perfectly fine, so it’s really up to you! The staff at SDS notes that wearing more traditional dance attire can make the class more fun and engaging for the dancers, but again, it’s optional. As for the shoes, the studio has extra ballet and tap shoes available for dancers to borrow. If you'd like to borrow a pair, please arrive 5 minutes early on the first night to check them out.
Classes are offered in partnership with Short Dance Studio and take place at their location, 9332 Cahill Ave.
