About This Activity
Description
Internet Registration has not begun yet. Check Registration Dates in details.
Games will be played on Saturdays, February 10 - March 2 at the Mercer Park Aquatic Center. The IC Parks and Rec youth basketball program is parent coached. Teams will participate in 6 practices and 4 games. This league will be based on recreational play with modified rules and equipment size.
Volunteer Coaches: The IC Parks and Rec 5 on 5 basketball program is parent coached. Teams may be cancelled and refunded if a coach is not available. Coaching is fun and rewarding. No experience is required, just a desire to see kids have fun. For more information contact matt-eidahl@iowa-city.org
Player Requests: Registered participants can request to be placed on the same team as another participant. To keep teams fair, the IC Parks and Rec will only accept one player request. Player requests must be made at time of registration and can only include one other players name.
Communication: All communication from the IC Parks and Rec will be done via the e-mail address listed on your child's Active Net account. To update your e-mail address contact IC Parks and Rec Customer Service Attendants at 319-356-5100.
Weather Cancellations: Cancellations are not based on the decisions made by the ICCSD. Weekday cancellations will be posted by 4 pm, and weekend cancellations by 7:30 am. Cancellations will be posted under "Alexander Gym". Cancelled practices will not be rescheduled. Cancellations may be found at www.icgov.org/pr , under "Event Cancellations".
Practice Times: Participants should report to the practice time and day they registered for, as participants will NOT be notified prior to the start of the season. Parents are encouraged to verify receipt for accuracy.
Schedules: The IC Parks and Rec will post game schedules at www.icgov.org/youthsportsinfo by the end of the first week.
Jerseys size will not be guaranteed if enrolled after registration deadline.
