About This Activity
Get a jump-start on Kindergarten in a fun, exploratory, and no-pressure/no-homework/no-grades structure. Students will discover what lurks beneath the ocean, incorporating letter recognition, phonemic awareness, listening and following directions by creating their own alphabet ocean book in the reading session. During the math portion, students will explore the ocean incorporating number recognition, sorting, identifying shapes, patterning, and counting by creating creatures that live in the ocean. Students will also explore camping through the seasons of the year: incorporating letter recognition, phonemic awareness, listening and following directions. Students will create/design a book about the life of a tree through each season. During the math portion, students will explore camping life: incorporating number recognition, sorting, identifying shapes, patterning, and counting while constructing a variety of creative art projects on camping. Your student will be ready to take on Kindergarten with confidence.
