Ideal for campers between 8 and 10 years old who have not had significant language exposure and for campers who have had exposure and understand some of the language, but do not speak it. This level is a foundational level that helps students go from not speaking to speaking, reading and writing in Spanish with more confidence. Students must have reached age 7 by June 15. Parents agree to purchase minimum 2 week registration and weeks chosen need to be consecutive. Parents agree to abstain from registering to start the last 2 weeks of the program. Creativity Works We want to kick start our camp by showcasing what our campers can do with their little hands but limitless minds. This week we dive into a whole new “all-Spanish” world and we want kids to feel at ease by inviting them to learn the parts of the body in Spanish and with their hands, experience different textures to create something out of nothing in a fun way. It’s a world of imagination that we want to unlock so kids increase their dexterity and creativity. This week we’ll do origami, painting, modeling and carpentry projects that kids are going to adore and you don’t want them to miss out. “This paper [ paint, clay, or wood ] will no doubt be found interesting by those who take an interest in it” said John Dalton the great English scientist as he referred to those who already are wired to be artists. They may not know it, but it will only take for them to be introduced to the materials at the right moment and time. What if it’s by our influence that your child turns out to be an artist, a designer, a builder? What if this is the right moment and the right time? We believe it is, and we will do all we can to present the material and the language in such an interesting way that kids fall in love with them forever. It’s our promise.
