About This Activity

From the drums of West Africa to the lively beats of Latin America, from the flowing movements of Asia to the foot-stomping rhythms of Europe, students will discover how geography, culture, and tradition shape different styles of dance. Join us as we visit different parts of the world, learning about the geography of each origin country and the local culture, music, and stories behind each dance style. Students will watch video performances, join in fun movement activities where they learn elements of the dance, and delve into the factors that make each dance unique.
