Overview: The craft of cabinetmaking is rooted in fine woodworking, but requires more of a production mentality. Beyond building the carcasses and doors, the appearance of most cabinets is determined by the doors and drawer fronts. Learning to build a frame and panel door is a useful skill for cabinetmaking and furniture making alike. In this class we will use a variety of woodworking tools to build the doors and drawer fronts for the cabinets built in class the previous week. Project description: The class will work together to build the doors and drawer fronts for the cabinets built in the previous week’s class for this year's tiny house. Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
