About This Activity
In this tutorial, participants will learn how to safely and effectively use the miter saw, also known as a chop saw. We will cover all the built-in safety features of these saws, as well as safe work practices using the miter saw. Students will have ample opportunity to practice making a variety of cuts on the miter saw. Students will go home with the confidence to safely use a miter saw on their next project. You are welcome to take sawdust and cutoffs with you if you’d like :) Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
