This curiosity-driven science camp invites campers to test myths, conduct hands-on experiments, and explore “Is this really true?” questions while building scientific thinking and a love of discovery. Big idea: Scientific thinking and curiosity! Sample elements: Test common myths (e.g., “Do heavier objects fall faster?”) Build and test the foldability of paper - is 7 folds really the limit? Simple culinary fun - Is the 5-second rule safe? End with a showcase of favorite experiments and what they actually learned. Sugary foods or beverages might be used in experiments and students may be asked to consume them and then make observations **Please note, there is no camp on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.** Hosted by The Discovery School Mrs. Amba camps@thediscoveryschool.org
