About This Activity

Camp Solana is a mini-camp facilitated by Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Caitlin Happel. Camp Solana is a hands-on, multi-sensory-based writing (and pre-writing) camp. The goal of this camp is to provide your child with a sensory-rich environment and developmentally appropriate pre-writing and handwriting instruction. Research indicates that skilled handwriting improves overall academic performance. Activities and lessons are designed to target fine motor, visual motor, and sensorimotor skills through movement, music, crafts, play, and more! The Handwriting Without Tears curriculum will be used to teach basic principles. Ms. Caitlin loves targeting the underlying skills needed for handwriting while having fun and seeing the big smiles from kids when they realize how far they have come. ** To ensure we can support as many students as possible this summer, and due to limited availability, we ask that each camper be registered for only one session. ** **Please note, there is no camp on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.** Hosted by Camp Solana Caitlin Happel solanaot@gmail.com Please contact the vendor directly for their cancellation policy.
