About This Activity
In this camp, children will explore a wide range of mediums, printmaking, ink, acrylic paint, drawing, watercolors, collage, building 3d objects, and clay. Process art lets children freely explore materials, experiment with techniques, and express ideas and emotions—fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. In my classes, I focus on the creative process with open-ended, choice-based activities that spark discovery. Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy, I honor children’s diverse ways of thinking, playing, exploring, speaking, and creating Taught by Helena Acosta Helena Acosta is an artist, educator, and the founder of Jax Little Art, a home-based and pop-up art studio, a process art-inspired space for children and adults to explore their creativity. Offering a variety of fun, collaborative, and social artistic experiences that foster connections and unleash creativity through playful, relaxing art workshops. With over 5 years of experience teaching children’s art classes in Jacksonville, she believes every child is a natural creator. Helena specializes in multi-medium exploration—from painting and printmaking to clay and collage—helping young artists build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of making art.
