In this exciting, project-based afterschool program, students in grades K–2 will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through fun, hands-on activities designed especially for young learners. Students will experience both MIT Scratch Jr. and LEGO Robotics, rotating between creative coding projects and robot-building challenges. With MIT Scratch Jr., students will create imaginative stories, games, and animations while learning coding concepts such as sequencing, events, movement, and cause and effect. Through LEGO Robotics, they will build and program interactive models, exploring how code brings their creations to life while developing foundational engineering skills. Throughout the program, students will strengthen their creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills while building confidence with technology. No prior coding or robotics experience is needed. Instructors will provide guidance and support to help every student learn and succeed. Regular updates will be shared through ClassDojo so families can follow their child’s learning and celebrate their accomplishments.
