In this exciting, project-based preschool program, young learners will explore foundational concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through playful, hands-on activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration. Students will use LEGO Education Essential to build and program simple models while learning early engineering, sequencing, and problem-solving skills. They will also use MIT Scratch Jr. to create colorful stories and animations using age-appropriate coding blocks. Activities will be introduced through guided, engaging projects designed specifically for young learners. Along the way, students will practice important skills such as listening, sharing, taking turns, communicating ideas, collaborating with classmates, and confidently trying new things. Families will receive regular updates through ClassDojo, and the semester will conclude with a fun-filled Carnival Day featuring unplugged activities and opportunities for students to redeem their hard-earned class points for prizes.
