About This Activity

Kick off the day by designing, coding, and building the city of the future! In this imaginative Minecraft Education session, students learn the foundations of urban planning while working in groups divided by age and skill level to ensure everyone is challenged at the right pace. Campers explore what makes a city run—transportation, neighborhoods, parks and green spaces, energy use, and community buildings—then bring their ideas to life inside Minecraft. Younger learners focus on early building skills, simple design concepts, and block-based coding as they create roads, parks, bridges, and essential city structures. Older learners dive deeper into city design, exploring sustainability, infrastructure planning, and automated systems using MakeCode or introductory Python to enhance their builds. Throughout the session, campers use creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving to build a thriving, well-designed mega city. A perfect start to the day for builders, thinkers, and Minecraft enthusiasts of all ages! 🏙️✨ Parents will receive daily updates on your child's learning and projects.
