In this exciting, project-based afterschool program, students will explore key concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through hands-on activities that foster creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. Students will develop coding, robotics, engineering, and design skills using engaging platforms such as LEGO SPIKE, MIT Scratch, Minecraft Education, micro:bit circuit boards, and other innovative programs. The curriculum will rotate approximately every 8–12 weeks, giving students opportunities to explore a variety of technologies and build a broad foundation across multiple coding, robotics, and design platforms. Along the way, students will strengthen important skills such as teamwork, communication, presenting, sharing, and problem-solving. These experiences will build confidence and help prepare interested students for more advanced coding and robotics challenges, including future competitions. Families will receive regular updates through ClassDojo, and the semester will conclude with a fun-filled Carnival Day featuring unplugged activities and opportunities for students to redeem their hard-earned class points for prizes.
