In this exciting, project-based afterschool program, students will begin the semester with LEGO Robotics and introductory coding. Young learners will design, build, program, and test robotic models while developing foundational engineering and computer science skills. Through fun, age-appropriate challenges, students will practice sequencing, problem-solving, sharing ideas, and working collaboratively. As the year progresses, students may explore additional creative technology and design activities based on their progress and interests. These may include MIT Scratch Jr., AI storytelling, beginner-friendly Minecraft coding, Scrib3D pen art and design, and other engaging STEAM projects. Students will build confidence as they bring their ideas to life while strengthening their creativity, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and early coding skills. Regular updates will be shared with families through ClassDojo so parents can follow their child’s learning and accomplishments throughout the program.
