In this exciting, project-based afterschool program, students in grades 3rd–5th will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) concepts through engaging, hands-on activities. Students will use MIT Scratch to create interactive games, stories, and animations while developing foundational coding skills. They will also explore AI storytelling, using age-appropriate tools to bring their original characters and ideas to life. Depending on student progress and interest, the program may also introduce beginner-friendly entrepreneurship and Minecraft coding projects. Through creative challenges, students will strengthen their coding confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Returning students will enjoy new and different projects from last year, while first-time participants will receive the guidance needed to learn and succeed. Regular updates will be shared with families through ClassDojo so parents can follow their child’s learning and accomplishments throughout the program.
