About This Activity
In Scratch Jr. Coding Camp, children aged 5-8 will dive into the exciting world of coding through fun, hands-on activities using the Scratch Jr. app. Over the course of this week-long, half-day camp, campers will learn basic coding concepts like sequencing, loops, and problem-solving by creating their own interactive stories, games, and animations. With a focus on creativity and collaboration, kids will express their ideas through digital storytelling, develop essential skills for the future, and have a blast while doing it. By the end of the week, they'll leave with a collection of their own projects and a newfound love for technology! Multiple teachers will be at each club to ensure that students are grouped by age and ability, allowing materials to be presented in a way that is developmentally appropriate. Older and more advanced learners will be challenged with more complex topics and projects tailored to their skill level.
