About This Activity

This full-day adventure blends hands-on robotics with imaginative world-building—perfect for young learners who love animals, exploration, and creative problem-solving. Morning: LEGO Robotics – Pet Rescue Robotics Campers begin the day as junior engineers using LEGO Spike Essential to design and build robotic helpers for pets in need. They explore motors, sensors, gears, and beginner-friendly coding as they create feeding gadgets, rescue vehicles, walking buddies, and more. Pet-themed challenges spark creativity, teamwork, and early engineering skills, with students grouped by age for just-right support and success. Afternoon: Minecraft – Hive Quest In the afternoon, campers enter a custom Minecraft Education world focused on bees, ecosystems, and environmental STEM concepts. They build thriving hives, protect pollinators, plant gardens, and complete interactive quests that highlight the importance of bees in our ecosystem. Learners use block-based coding to guide characters, automate simple tasks, and bring their bee-themed builds to life. Younger campers follow guided missions, while older students take on more open-ended environmental challenges. By the end of camp, students will have engineered creative robotic pet helpers and explored the fascinating world of bees through hands-on Minecraft missions—making this a fun and enriching blend of STEM, creativity, and environmental discovery. Pack a thermos and lunch for your learner to enjoy during the midday break. Parents will receive daily updates on student learning and projects.
