About This Activity

This full-day experience blends real-world programming with cutting-edge artificial intelligence exploration—perfect for older learners ready to level up their tech skills and explore the future of innovation. Morning: Python Intro Launch Lab Students begin the day learning real, text-based coding in Python. Designed for advanced learners or those with prior coding experience, this immersive course introduces core programming concepts including variables, data types, conditionals, loops, user input, and basic functions. Through guided instruction and hands-on challenges, campers write and run their own Python programs while strengthening logic, debugging, and independent problem-solving skills. This session is led by an experienced Python instructor who provides structured support and real-time feedback to help students confidently transition into professional-level coding. Afternoon: AI Super Skills Camp In the afternoon, campers explore the exciting world of artificial intelligence through interactive, project-based activities. Students experiment with AI tools for image creation, storytelling, pattern recognition, and problem-solving while learning how AI systems work behind the scenes. Guided discussions on AI ethics, safety, fairness, and responsible use help learners think critically about the technology shaping their world. Students leave with a deeper understanding of how AI can be used creatively, responsibly, and effectively. By the end of the week, students will have built a strong foundation in Python programming and gained meaningful exposure to modern AI tools—developing digital fluency, creativity, and future-ready skills. Pack a thermos and lunch for your learner to enjoy during the midday break. Parents will receive daily updates on student learning and projects.
