About This Activity
Step into an engineering lab where imagination meets robotics! In this hands-on camp, students use the Hummingbird Robotics Kit to design, build, and program their own interactive robotic creatures. Campers explore real robotics concepts as they bring their creations to life with lights, motion, sensors, and block-based coding. From mythical beasts to futuristic animals, each student designs and engineers their own robo-creature using craft materials, motors, LEDs, and sensors—blending creativity with technical skill. Throughout the week, campers practice problem-solving, engineering design thinking, and iteration as they refine their builds and experiment with new features. By the end of camp, every participant leaves with a unique, expressive robotic creature and the confidence that comes from building something truly their own. Parents will receive daily updates on your child's learning and projects.
