This hands-on, project-based club is designed to teach young learners the fundamentals of computer coding and robotics. Using programs like LEGO Spike, micro:bit, and Scratch Jr., students will build and program their own robots each week, applying the concepts covered in class. They’ll explore key principles of mechanical engineering—including the use of gears, pulleys, axles, and levers—while learning to code with block-based programming. Each semester features all-new projects, so returning students can continue to grow their skills and creativity with fresh challenges and builds. With an emphasis on practical learning and innovation, this course is perfect for future coders, engineers, and inventors. This club often sells out quickly—early registration is encouraged! ClassDojo will be used to share updates with parents after each session, and during the final class, students will celebrate their achievements with a Carnival Day, enjoying unplugged activities and redeeming their class points for prizes.
