Description
Join us for the UMKC Conservatory Piano Days this October! This event is for high school pianists, prospective music majors, and music minors. Students will be able to spend a “day in the life of a music major”!
Students will attend conservatory classes and have short lessons (individual or small group) with piano faculty as well as attend a masterclass with Christopher Goodpasture.
Event Schedule:
- 7:30am - 8:00am: Program Check-In (Grant Hall - 5228 Charlotte St, Kansas City, MO 64110)
- 8:00am - 12:00pm: Conservatory Classes and Private Lessons
- 12:00pm 1:00pm: Lunch Break with Piano Faculty (pack a lunch)
- 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Conservatory Classes and Private Lessons/Walk to Performing Arts Building.
- 2:00pm - 4:00pm Masterclass with Christopher Goodpasture
- 5:00pm: Perform in a recital with Christopher Goodpasture! (family and friends welcome, no ticket required)
- 6:00pm-6:30pm: Program Check-Out (James C. Olson Performing Arts Center - 4949 Cherry St, KCMO, 64110)
Registration Required by October 10 - open to all high school pianists (grades 9-12), no audition required
