Description
UMKC Double Reed Institute provides students (grades 8-12) the opportunity to work with UMKC double reed faculty and participate in clinics related to double reed performance. Double reed (oboe and bassoon) students will benefit from learning to play music in a variety of settings including warm-up sessions, master classes, lessons, and discussion clinics. Clinic topics will include practice techniques, performance anxiety, stage presence, musicianship, reed-making and opportunities for playing music in college. PLEASE NOTE WHEN REGISTERING: If the participant who will be attending camp is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian should create an account in the system, and then register the student as a participant in the activity. A participant under the age of 18 should not be the main account holder; it must be in the name of a parent/guardian.
