Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. KCYA's June Production of Little Mermaid, Jr. will be for ages 8 to 10. If there are older siblings or friend groups that would prefer to be together, exceptions can be made, however please note that younger students will not be able to join the 11-17 July Production of Little Mermaid, Jr. There will be a minimum of 20 students needed for this production. Rehearsals will be Monday-Friday 4:30PM-8:00PM *No Rehearsal on Memorial Day* Saturday, May 30th 10AM-1PM Performances will be on Friday, June 12th at 6PM and Saturday, June 13th at 2PM AND 6PM Students will stay at KCYA between Saturday performances for celebratory pizza. **Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th are potential Make-Up Days** There will be a Virtual Parent Meeting on May 22nd @ 6:30pm -- Invites will be sent via Email. Note: Not all students will receive a speaking role for this production, however, all students will receive 50.5 hours of in-depth theatre, vocal, and dance instruction If your student has scheduling conflicts or will not be available during for the first week of rehearsal or the last week of camp (tech week) please contact our office before proceeding to enroll.
