Yin is a passive practice that focuses on the connective tissues of the body. Yin poses are designed to keep the muscles (elastic-like tissue) relatively inactive while using gravity and time to skillfully place stress on the fascia (plastic-like tissue). Poses are held for 3 - 7 minutes. Yin yoga helps maintain functional mobility, prevents degeneration and increases hydration. Please bring your own mat.
