Level up your summer with Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra's annual weeklong day camp! Join friends new and old as we explore the vibrant worlds of video game music. Students in 4th grade through recent high school graduates with at least one year of playing experience on most band and orchestra instruments* are welcome to participate. Regular tuition is $225. Musicians who will be playing the following instruments at camp receive an automatic scholarship rate of $150: viola, oboe, bassoon, bass, French horn, trombone, tuba. ++Tuition assistance is available. Don't let finances keep you from participating in camp! Camp happens July 27-31, 2026, at Kentlake High School Full Orchestra Camp Day: 9:30am-2:00pm, with a break for lunch 12:00-12:30pm Jazz Experience Add-On: 2:00-3:00pm While grade level and years of experience are good general indicators of playing ability, we know that every musician progresses at their own pace. To ensure that students are placed with other musicians of similar ability, we ask that you provide full and accurate information about your student's playing experience. Students going into grades 8 and up with at least two years of playing experience -- all instruments -- are eligible to add a jazz experience to the end of their day (2:30-3:30pm.) for a small additional fee of $50 ($75 for students not participating in the main camp). No additional discounts apply. *Saxophones: Saxophone parts are not available in every piece we play, so doubling on another instrument is recommended. We are also happy to teach you an endangered instrument (oboe, bassoon, French horn) before camp to expand the repertoire available to you both at camp and in the future!
