About This Activity
The fourth of our six class levels, High School Prep is for intermediate to advanced players focused on competitive, high-energy skill development. Shooting off the dribble, creating separation, finishing through contact, etc. Most of our athletes in this group fall between the ages of 11 - 15, but ultimately, it is the skill level we organize athletes by. Movement & Spacing Focus ● Shooting off movement — relocation, cuts, and curls off screens ● Reading closeouts to decide between shoot, drive, or pass ● Actions that create space: pin downs, dribble hand-offs, and using a teammate's cut ● Tempo control — recognizing when to push and when to organize the offense Application Focus ● Small-sided live games (2-on-2, 3-on-3) built around spacing principles ● Situational reps: transition opportunities and late-clock decisions ● Combining Block 1 mechanics and Block 2 shot creation inside a live possession Our six class levels are based on ability, but here are approximate ages for each level: Jr Ballers (ages 4 - 6) Lil Ballers (ages 6 - 9) Young Ballers (ages 8 - 12) High School Prep (ages 11 - 15) Varsity Prep (ages 13 - 17) College Prep (Ages 14 - 18)
