The third of our six skill levels, Young Ballers is designed for players who have mastered the fundamental aspects of the game and are ready to take on combos, finishing moves, and more advanced footwork. Most of our athletes in this group fall between the ages of 9 - 12, but ultimately, it is the skill level we organize athletes by. Ball Handling Focus - Live combo moves (crossover, hesitation, in-and-out, behind-the-back) tied to a specific scoring purpose - Change-of-speed attacks on closeouts and live defenders - Escape dribbles and counters when the first move is taken away Shot Creation Focus - Pull-up jumpers off one and two dribbles - Step-back and side-step separation shots - Floaters and runners for finishing in the lane through length - Finishing through contact at the rim Our six class levels are based on ability, but here are approximate ages for each level: Jr Dribblers (ages 4 - 7) Lil Ballers (ages 6 - 10) Young Ballers (ages 9 - 12) High School Prep (ages 11 - 14) Varsity Prep (ages 13 - 16) College Prep (Ages 15 - 18)
