About This Activity
Come create a beautiful ceramic plate from scratch during this 3-day class. On Monday and Tuesday, using the "slab" method, participants will roll out clay, place leaves, twigs or flower petals they have collected from around the Lakeside grounds, and press them into the clay. Laid over a "slump mold," each creation will set up and become a beautiful plate for home or cottage. Students return on Thursday to glaze their piece, enhancing the beauty of each creation. Pick up your finished, fired piece on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
