About This Activity
Partner with a fellow classmate and create a scientist's fan boat equipped with a color sensor and pretend you're detecting alligators in a swamp. You'll learn to design, build and code using LEGO bricks and LEGO robotic kits. Discover the basic principles of robot parts, sensors, and coding. This is part of a series of three robotics classes. Students are encouraged to take all three, but each project can be completed in one class. NOTE: This is an experiential class. Students do NOT get a robot to take home. However, photos and video can be taken to document their accomplishment.
