Create a beautiful hand-built ceramic plate from raw clay during this 3-day class. On Monday and Tuesday, using the "slab method," participants will roll out clay and then press leaves, twigs or flower petals that they bring to class into the clay. The clay is then laid over a "slump mold" and will set up over 24 hours. Students return on Thursday to glaze their piece, enhancing the beauty of each creation. Pick up your finished, fired piece on Saturday between 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. NOTE; Please collect leaves and flowers BEFORE the first class and bring them with you. Be very careful not to bring any poisonous plants, like poison ivy!
