About This Activity
We will discuss how rockets work and attendees will build/assemble a basic Estes rocket. Kelly Sommers, the District STEAM Instructional Coach for Sandusky City Schools, will discuss the safety codes needed for launching model rockets. Due to lack of a large enough open space, launching rockets will NOT be a part of the program. Attendees will get to take their rocket home. Lunch pads for rockets are not available at this session. NOTE: This is a parent/child program. Parents/guardians are kindly requested to stay and share the experience with their child. Registration is required and space is limited to 20 participants. This program is included with your Lakeside Chautauqua Gate Pass.
