About This Activity
Glam up offers a different spin on refashioning garments. In this class, students will learn various design techniques to add artistic elements to their clothing items of choice. Students will explore various embellishment techniques including Stenciling designs, Embellish with sparkle, patchwork and the art of distressing and fraying denim. No sewing machine experience necessary. Students should bring their own item to customize, preferably a denim or jean item such as a jacket, pair of pants, etc. Teaching Artist Sheila Moore will lead students to develop the skills to transform their favorite pieces into one-of-a-kind fashion statements.
