About This Activity
In this workshop, we will be using a screen-printing method that allows the artist to create a multi-colored printed surface over a larger area all in one session. This workshop is taught by Artist and Founder of REACH, Alice Brinkman. Session 1: 5:30 - 7 pm Participants will create their own stencil to use with a blank screen and then learn to use their stencil with thickened fiber reactive dyes, creating original unique surface designs on silk and cotton cloth. Session 2: 1 - 4pm Cloth will “cure” overnight at REACH and be ready for rinsing and pick-up during the Saturday morning dye lab.
